KaDeWe in Berlin is the epitome of a luxury department store worldwide and has been the grand hotel among department stores since it opened in 1907. It was always more like Harrods than Hertie or Horten, and in terms of architectural history, the core of the idea of the modern department store was the connection of stacked sales areas by escalators.
The concept is revised, renewed and expanded at regular intervals.
This time with the addition of a SHISEIDO brand care cabin. The elaborate and luxurious design was “tailor-made” and perfectly prepared for installation in this originally rather unadorned space.
The result: a luxury treatment cabin from the brand with elaborate gold accents, top-quality materials and a media walk through a Japanese garden.
